Poker Aces – learning to bet them

Poker Aces references two aces being dealt before theflop. It’s the best possible before theflop hand inhold’em Poker. But regardless a good many competitors find themselves on the wrong end when given this hand.

When you are given a pair of Aces, you just do not fold pre-flop. You are sitting with the greatest possible hand at this stage of the round. So how do you gamble with Poker Aces ? Do you actually go all-in? I’d say absolutely no to that.

Remember, you’re looking to earn as much money from this strong position. You will want to maximize the opportunity. Going all-in will actually scare most individuals into dropping out before placing a wager.

If you are in the initial seat (first or 2nd to bet), you will lay a single bet. Any player with good cards will call, with hope a player will raise. If someone has made a raise don’t jump to re-raise or call, pause for a short while – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.

After the flop your strategy will be to get rid of any player that might be able to build a straight or a flush. So I would start to raise aggressively, if you’re lucky you will fool one player into believing that you are bluffing.

If you are in the center or late position (one of the last to bet) you will observe as everyone calls and then raise. Even with you holding a pair of aces, if possible try to avert a show-down. Defend your hand by forcing others to drop out following the flop. If you don’t get rid of your competitors you chance squandering your hand.
