Online poker has become world celebrated as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television scores. Over the years several variations on the original poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the bank instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little conniving or other types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up just before the dealer broadcasting "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other gamblers acquire five cards. After you have seen your hand and the casino’s first card, you need to either make a call wager or surrender. The call bet’s value is equal to your original ante, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your bet goes immediately to the house. After the wager comes the showdown. If the bank does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, with a figure equal to the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The bank pays out chips equal to your ante and set expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
